We are looking for a structured and highly motivated Public Affairs Advisor with flair for business strategy. The Maersk Global Public Affairs team is a rapidly evolving organization, and we want to strengthen our ability to translate political developments into business impact

Key Responsibilities

• To help develop and maintain global excellence concerning policy development on geopolitics, trade and labor, to make sure we are aware of the global and regional trends on these topics, so we can inform senior business leaders and facilitate external engagement through our regional teams.
  
  
• To develop and drive implementation of global policy positions for Maersk across our business units, to make sure our position is well-founded in facts, built on a strong burning platform and centrally aligned, yet locally customized to the political landscape.
  
  

Your day-to-day tasks will include

• To support the establishment & operation of the Centers of Excellence on Geopolitics, Trade and Labor
  
  
• To support ERM work on key political issues by developing a structured risk framework
  
  
• To develop templates and position papers on our top political issues
  
  
• To structure and continuously develop our political and regulatory information hub
  
  

What are we looking for

• Master’s Degree or equivalent, likely in either business, economic or political science.
  
  
• Deep knowledge on geopolitics and trade policy
  
  
• Concrete experience in corporate risk & crisis management, including the development of mitigation plans and risk management frameworks.
  
  
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and how policy can affect them.
  
  
• Experience in quantitative analysis, statistical forecasting and opportunity/risk sizing
  
  
• Experience in policy development
  
  
• Management consultant’s toolbox, i.e., strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
