Banking Circle is a next-generation provider of mission-critical financial services infrastructure leading the rise of a super-correspondent banking network. Banking Circle is a fully licensed bank able to deliver financial infrastructure at low cost, compliantly and securely. Banks and Payments businesses can now access real-time payments allowing them to seize market opportunities without having to commit to significant investment in their own internal infrastructure.
Banking Circle is empowering financial institutions to support their customers’ international trading ambitions, without the need for multiple banking relationships, whilst reducing risk and the operational cost of transactions. Businesses that were previously financially excluded are now able to participate in the digital economy in a way which was not previously possible.
Banking Circle is characterised by a healthy mix of experienced people and development opportunities led by the newest technologies. Further, you will become a part of a greatly diverse department and team in terms of competencies and backgrounds. Currently, Banking Circle consists of more than 400 people with 41 different nationalities spanning across their offices in Luxembourg, Denmark, UK, Germany, and the Netherlands.
The department
As a part of the Engineering Operations department, you will be part of a highly skilled multi-disciplined close-knit team providing high quality and timely services to the business and projects alike.
The Engineering Operations department consists of 29 employees and some additional consultants who are placed in five different teams. In the DevOps team there are eight DevOps Engineers in total, three of which are based in Luxembourg, one in London and four at the Copenhagen Office. The team delivers harmonised services through close communication and cooperation.
The team plays a key role in the company’s on-call production support rotation, out-of-hours production releases and system maintenance. Delivering these harmonised services happens through communication and close co-operation across a multi-disciplined, highly skilled team.
The position
As a DevOps Engineer in Banking Circle, you’ll be supporting both the developers and the bank’s business operations.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about tearing down the wall between Dev and Ops and take on the role as the ambassador on how the teams work together. As our new DevOps Expert, you will be the glue between Dev and Ops and with your outgoing and passionate mindset you will teach, showcase and share knowledge across teams.
You will be reporting to the DevOps Team Lead, joining the DevOps team split between Luxembourg and Copenhagen, and be a part of our growing DevOps function.

- In close collaboration with our distributed development and project management teams you design, implement, test, run and deploy architectures and environments to Microsoft Azure in a regulated environment.
- You automate the creation and secure configuration of our cloud platform resources in Microsoft Azure.
- You set up and configure modern monitoring and logging solutions to measure and optimise system performance and to dynamically manage system capacity.
- You provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed banking applications.
- Troubleshooting and debugging infrastructure, network and operating system issues are a natural part of your job.
- You take on the role as the knowledge sharing DevOps Expert, who showcases and teaches how to tear down the wall between the different teams.
