As DSB’s IT project portfolio is expanding, DSB is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Assistant who is eager to join our IT Security Architect team and to contribute with good communication and collaboration abilities.
Increased focus on security While digitization gains a wider footing within our rail fleet, IT security becomes increasingly critical.
Your job In a project framework, you will collaborate with the IT Security department, project managers, operations architects, system architects, and others. You will contribute to specifying requirements to the security architecture and consequently, to ensuring that the solution lives up to the specifications.

You can look forward to working in a complex environment and with a wide range of technologies within our infrastructure, such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, AWS, Google, and Azure.

Your qualifications We are looking for a colleague who is enthusiastic about IT security, knowledge sharing, requirements setting, and risk assessments. We expect you to be eager to learn and maybe experienced in IT security.
You might have worked as a consultant, or maybe you are fresh out of school. You know how to balance demands to security, operations, and business with the aim to reach optimal solutions.
You have been dealing with IT in some perspective and know your way in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).

About the IT Security Architecture team and our workstyle IT Security Architecture is a stable team. Some of us are working with processes, others with penetration testing. Some have a quite technical background within design, architecture, and operational security. We also have a few external consultants, a graduate, and a student assistant.
DSB is currently undergoing a rapid development within IT, especially focused on IT security. We are busy with the transformation to private/public Cloud, to software designed network and other large transition projects. We are changing the IT operations supplier in parallel with a large renewal of the applications portfolio, and we wish to strengthen the IT security across our infrastructure. As a result, IT Security is much in demand when it comes to counselling and sparring.
Working with the business and the operations, we put emphasis on facilitating decision processes and clarifying security demands, scope, and division of responsibility. We work in a solution-oriented manner focusing on creating results, taking initiatives – and thinking across departments, solutions, and professional areas.
We can be both guardians and facilitators, and we like to leave our mark on the development of our infrastructure

It will be your job to assist in
- Giving advice and providing support regarding IT security questions and assessments
- Explaining and translating IT security requirements and technical details to different parts of the organisation
- Performing penetration testing, security testing, vulnerability scanning and similar internal “hacker” activities
- Guiding system owners on vulnerability management, prioritization, and technical risk assessments
- Maintaining a structured approach to technical cyber security and vulnerability management
- Translating technical requirements into business related terms, decision making and risk management
- Establishing and maintaining technical security standards and relevant infrastructure baselines, in collaboration with the IT operations supplier
- Ensuring overview and coherence in our security requirements

- 0-3 years from a similar position, as a technical assistant, IT supporter or similar
- An education within IT or relevant security or technical certifications
- Proficiency in communication and presentation, orally and in writing in English, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with standards like MITRE ATT&CK®, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001/27002
- Knowledge of networks, operating systems, security tests, penetration tests, red team tests and similar
