The department
The C2 organization based in Lystrup is responsible for Terma's C2-Ground/Air solutions, focusing on delivering situational awareness for surveillance, perimeter safety, and combat planning and execution. Comprising 100 highly engaged colleagues across two sites in Søborg and Lystrup, the C2 organization operates in stable, interdisciplinary, and self-managed product/project teams that adhere to agile principles from Scrum.
In the department they value a healthy work-life balance, so following the on-boarding process, employees have the flexibility to work remotely for two days each week. However, most team members choose to be present at the office throughout the workweek due to the welcoming and enjoyable environment. It's worth noting that when working on classified projects, remote work may not be available during those specific periods.
The Position and Responsibilities
As an Experienced Software Architect at Terma, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with fellow members of the Architect Team and Scrum teams across the organization, which can vary in size from 2 to 40 members. In this role, you will assume technical responsibility for the architectural design of mission-critical applications, considering all aspects related to software development, including performance, reliability, modularity, and maintainability. Your responsibilities will encompass:
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to teams engaged in implementing mission-critical software systems across different applications.
• Architectural design and implementation of software, adhering to professional and modern software engineering principles.
• Taking ownership in enhancing work methods and improving the development toolchain in close collaboration with C2 Line Management.
• Creating technical documentation, including architectural and software design documentation, interface control documents, and design justification documentation.
• Contributing to ensuring the timely implementation and delivery of software to meet schedule and quality requirements.
Qualifications
• You have a relevant education, i.e., bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, data scientist or similar education.
• +3 years of experience working in a lead/senior software role
• Experience with programming in Java. Experience with other object-oriented programmes like C++ etc. is an advantage.
• Have experience with design of software solutions through all the steps from requirements, architecture, design, implementation, and verification - the latter especially in terms of automated tests.
• Are an experienced technical lead with well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Are a natural informal leader who can drive teams and individuals to become high performing.
• Have broad experience in agile development and supporting tools.
