As a Data engineer in the team Manufacturing Excellence, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the data architecture for digital solutions developed in the team. The team is responsible for delivering cloud-based digital solutions to the Manufacturing facilities and we have several digital products that you will help us with in this role. You could also expect the following:
• Designing, building, and supporting the existing data pipelines in AWS while following and utilizing the Novo Nordisk Target Architecture
• Working closely together with the current team of data engineers/scientists and Product Owners to ensure that the data pipelines built for the individual applications are optimised for scalability, flexibility, correctness, and performance
• Offering valuable insights in the field of data engineering and suggesting avenues for improvement to elevate the innovation level of the team Additionally, you will get a unique opportunity to impact the development of the agile culture in Novo Nordisk and work with dedicated colleagues, together with whom you will build and grow your own as well as the organizational capabilities. Qualifications
You will succeed in this role if you have:
• A solid full-time experience working within Data Engineering or software development
• Strong proficiency in Python programming
• Experience working with AWS (including but not limited to Lambda, RDS, S3, SQS, SNS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as code for AWS (Cloudfomation/CDK is preferred)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Having previous exposure to Kafka/streaming data platforms and experience working with data lakes/data warehouses would be advantageous. As an individual, you excel in communication and collaboration, embracing teamwork and open to giving and receiving feedback during collaborative sessions. Furthermore, you possess the quality of a curious and creative mind with a willingness to learn and you enjoy being part of a social team. Your contributions will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions for our production.

The position is anchored in the Technology Innovation Unit within ET Manufacturing Development, whose key mission is to set the bar for our manufacturing approach by creating operational excellence through a fully data driven and continuous process for oral tablet production. We go to work understanding that our digital solutions will make the production deliver more life-changing products to our patients – every single day.
The Manufacturing Intelligence teams consist of 20 highly skilled colleagues with different scientific backgrounds ranging from Product owners, Data scientists, Front-end developers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and UI/UX designers. With the rapid advancement within data and analytics, we are expanding our team and bringing in new competences and skills. Our ambition is to be the frontier, use the latest technologies and software to draw greater insights and future predictions from data and thus making a significant impact on how we manage the future manufacturing operation.
