With direct reference to Head of R&D - HCW Meters, you will become a part of our Technology division which is responsible for the development of our high tech metering solutions for the water and energy utilities around the world. More specifically, you will be a part of the R&D department consisting of +30 experienced and driven employees with a broad background including physicists, hardware, software and mechanical engineers. Together we are responsible for the development of the total solution for our heat and water meters. The team is characterized by an very informal environment where we value an open dialogue and professional development.
Embedded Software Developer with focus on quality and reliability
In the position as Embedded Software Developer, you will be responsible for software development from concept specification, design and implementation to production start-up. Therefore, you will be collaborating interdisciplinary across entire Kamstrup from Product Managers to our production sites in order to ensure that we end up with the best product.
More specifically your responsibilities will be to:
• Develop energy optimized software for battery applications
• Create robust software for long time operation without service
• Create embedded applications using C
• Follow the tasks from specification to release and ensuring quality in all aspects of the solution
• Participate in project oriented development processes
Personality matters
We are looking for an ambitious Embedded Software Developer who has a flair for finding the simple and robust solution. You have an educational background within Software or Electronics Engineering or similar which have given you an in-depth knowledge of C as well as a basic understanding of hardware. Furthermore, knowledge of C# and Python will be considered an advantage. Whether you have a few years of experience or are newly graduated is not crucial, but you are driven by a genuine interest in software development with a theoretical understanding, practical approach and a focus on the final product.
As a person you work independently and thrive in technical immersion, however, you also enjoy collaborating with colleagues both within and outside your team. You place high demands on yourself and others meaning that you do not compromise the quality of your work. You are not afraid of asking critical questions that might challenge status quo. Finally, we expect you to have a structured and analytical approach towards tasks and take ownership of your work.
It is a requirement that you both speak and write Danish and English fluently.
