With direct reference to our Head of SCM Logistics, you will become a part of the Supply Chain Management Logistics management team consisting of 8 experienced and engaged colleagues, that are also covering processes such as Production Planning, Operational Purchasing and S&OP.
You will have the overall responsibility for our warehousing, shipping and distribution setup across Kamstrup, both locally and globally. You will have a dedicated team of three Shipping Employees, one Logistics advisor and a Warehouse Team Lead to help you succeed in the role.
In addition, Kamstrup has a team of dedicated and experienced Warehouse and Logistics operators with reference to the Warehouse Team Lead. There is also a functional reference from Logistics Employees in our US Production site. You should expect a broad interface across the organization through collaboration within several aspects of our organization such as SCM Logistics, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, IT and Finance.
A position focusing on the tactical and strategic direction
As Head of Warehouse and Distribution you set the tactical and strategic direction for the area, in a global scale.
More specifically, your primary work tasks will be:
Personality matters
You are preferably educated within Supply Chain, Logistics, Shipping or similar and have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience with Warehousing and Distribution processes preferably in a global context. You possess good analytical skills, great overview and is a proven people manager.
As a person, you are outgoing and strong in stakeholder management. You are independent and proactive in your work, and you thrive with juggling multiple tasks at the same time. You can structure processes and have a good eye for the detail.
It is a requirement that you master Danish and English in writing and speaking.

- Participate in SCM Logistics management team, impacting the overall direction for the SCM Logistics area in Kamstrup.
- Participate in the build-up of the Logistical Setup of our new production site in Atlanta, US
- Improve our global distribution setup balancing cost, service level and sustainability
- Work with vendors to identify and eliminate logistics obstacles to ensure safe and timely shipping of products
- Identify and drive opportunities for cost reduction, flow improvement and business development
- Secure labour, equipment capacity and an organization which matches the business needs and maintain a good working environment where employees thrive, are engaged and motivated
- Creating budgets and monitoring expenses to ensure that these are within approved limits
