The programme has been designed to give you extensive exposure to different roles within Clinical Trial Management in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong focus on competencies such as project management, operational excellence, communication, leadership skills, stakeholder management and at the same time, an opportunity to build a global network and experience the value chain from multiple angles.

About the Trial Management Graduate Programme
The two-year programme consists of three rotations in different parts of the Clinical Drug Development organisation or adjacent areas. You will be given a broad range of Trial Management responsibilities and experience a variety of cross-functional project work, work with stakeholder management and have assignments within trial management in different phases of a clinical trial. Additionally, the programme will give you a unique insight into the development value chain of Novo Nordisk, and you will be part of a highly skilled and motivated international working environment with dynamic teams, each of which are providing Novo Nordisk with a competitive edge and driving state of the art clinical activities.

Being a graduate, you will enjoy the privilege of being part of both formal and informal graduate networks which will allow you to broaden your learnings even further, while building your opportunities and relationships across the company. T roughout your learning journey in the graduate programme, you will receive formal training and gain knowledge and invaluable international experience leading to both professional and personal development. Managers and mentors, as well as a huge, global network of current and former graduates, are ready to guide and support you along the way.

The position

During the 2-year programme you will undertake three challenging and exciting rotations of a duration of 8 months. The first rotation is planned to take place within Trial Management at our corporate headquarter in Denmark. The second rotation will be in one of our global affiliates around the world, where you will get hands on operational experience and get to see trial management from a local perspective. The third rotation and last rotation will like the first rotation take place in our headquarters in Denmark, in a department within or with strong ties to clinical development. You will work as a fully-fledged member of each team, with responsibilities for one or more projects, and play an instrumental role in ensuring the Novo Nordisk Development organisation realises its vision of achieving and sustaining best in class medicine to make a difference for patients.

After two years in the Novo Nordisk Graduate Programme you will be offered a position that will be a good match between your interests and competencies and the organisational needs, most likely within the clinical development area.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Trial Management Graduate Programme will have:

  • A relevant master’s degree within natural sciences from 2022 or 2023, with above average academic achievements. While not a requirement, those pursing a PhD -or having completed one in 2022- are also welcome to apply, as long as their cumulative work experience does not exceed 1 year.
  • International experience, for example from studying a full semester abroad, working or volunteering. If Covid-19 restrictions have prevented you from obtaining (additional) international experience, e.g. studying or completing an internship abroad, feel free to still apply and explain what your plans were, how they changed and what relevant experience you have gained instead.

  • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities obtained next to your studies
  • Global mindset, ability to adapt quickly to change, displaying agility and willingness to explore and innovate
  • Excellent communication skills, be a team-player, have a high drive and an eagerness to learn
  • Professional fluency in English and be globally mobile
