Would you like to take part in setting the direction for waste management in Novo Nordisk DK? Are you an experienced manager with flair for stakeholder management across large organisations? The Position As a manager you will be responsible for driving excellent people development and leading your team to success within the rapidly growing area of waste management. The team consists of 8 highly dedicated employees who are managing logistics of waste and recycling solutions across Novo Nordisk DK. Furthermore, the team manages an operational waste management system and ensures data quality for Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting and our line of business. Your key areas of responsibility will be to:
  • Ensure continuous professional development of the team, driving talent development and success
  • Motivate the team to deliver on stable operations and compliance, while delivering on strategic priorities and scaling the service
  • Manage stakeholder relations across all levels of the organisation
  • Establish vendor contracts and service specifications in collaboration with the sourcing department
  • Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to environmental management, engineering, or business
  • 3-5 years leader experience
  • Relevant experience within environmental management or waste operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of the pharma industry and GxP
  • Strong communication skills in Danish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Additionally, an ideal candidate will have ability to mentor and develop employees as well as create results through personal drive, commitment, effectiveness, and open management. Ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation is crucial as well. As a person, you possess strong cross-functional leadership skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships and trust, as well as get commitment from both internal and external stakeholders. Your good supplier relationship skills enable you to be continuously, but constructively, demanding of suppliers' performance. You have solid analytical skills and significant practical experience in analyzing complex topics, as well as high-level financial and data quality knowledge and experience. You have strong interpersonal skills and solid leadership skills within your team, and your advanced negotiation skills combined with a diplomatic approach enable you to drive successful outcomes. About the Department Around 300 colleagues from countless of professional fields make up Corporate Facilities, which is anchored in the area Finance, Legal and Global Solutions. We enable Novo Nordisk to focus on the core business by delivering simple and agile solutions for physical infrastructures (campuses, real estate, utilities, workplaces), facility management services as well as security operations, while progressing a major project portfolio, while creating tangible business results by partnering with all areas of the business.     In Corporate Facilities we work with proactively creating win-win solutions with internal and external stakeholders in the areas we operate in, while ensuring engaging communications about our 130+ services to our 22,000+ colleagues across our Danish locations. You will be a part of the department Office & Waste Operations. The department is located in Bagsværd and consists of 22 employees, who are responsible for driving waste operations across all Danish sites, developing and operating the service model for office buildings, as well as handling maintenance and employee transportation. The team delivers service and maintenance through contracts with external vendors.
