The Position As Senior Strategy Partner, you are part of the Strategy & Governance team which is part of the Programme Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for our benchmarking database and model, which is our foundation for assessing cost and timelines of our capex projects. It is based on internal and external benchmarks. We collaborate closely with external partners to broaden our benchmark database and to understand our project performance against our peers in the industry. With your understanding of our benchmarks combined with your capex project management experience, you will engage directly with our projects to challenge scope, estimates and plans, understand progress and issues, and to provide recommendations and support decision-making. You will be supporting project approval processes all the way through to executive management approval. You will engage with project members, project controls teams and other key stakeholders to deliver high quality material to senior management. In your role, you will deliver various project execution/performance analysis and insights to management, based on your insight into data, project performance and progress. Your analytical skills combined with your ability to communicate clearly and concisely will enable well-informed decision-making and strategic direction at all levels. Your main tasks include:
  • Own and manage our internal benchmark database, and utilise the data insights to identify improvement potential across our project portfolio.
  • Engage with the project teams to understand their performance, challenge their estimates and plans, and to track their progress.
  • Gather and analyse relevant data to inform strategic decision-making and project planning. Facilitate project reviews often involving external engineering partners.
  • Build a model for assessing project performance and sharing lessons learned.
  • Drive key strategic, analytical initiatives across the programme.
  • Qualifications Ideally, you have the following qualifications or similar:
  • Master in a relevant field (engineering, business administration, science or similar),
  • A proven experience in managing capital expenditure projects (min 3-5 years of experience within project management, project controls, PMO or similar).
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Experience in driving benchmarking processes and to leverage benchmarking data to enhance project performance and outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills combined with track-record of driving strategic processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex challenges/issues in a simple manner to diverse audiences.
  • About the Department You will be part of the Strategy & Governance team which is placed centrally in the Programme Management Office (PMO) in the Fill & Finish Expansion Programme (FFEx). You will report to the head of Strategy & Governance team. You will be part of a team that has the responsibility of establishing, organizing, and managing the strategy and governance processes across the FFEx Programme. The team is currently very small but will be expanding over the next half year. You will be part of shaping our ambition as a team, how we operate, our focus areas and key priorities.
