Sophion Bioscience was founded in year 2000 by a group of passionate electrophysiologists and is today one of the leading providers of automated patch clamp solutions. The solutions are today sold to leading pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations all over the world and they have managed to increase their market shares in all major markets during the past years. To continue the growth, they are now adding a Global Product Manager that can further develop their core business, with emphasis on a new product line targeted at new and promising segments.
Global product responsibility
Sophion Bioscience is a company that is based on having the best solution in their line of business. It is therefore essential to stay on top of customers requirement to existing and new solutions. Furthermore, the business is growing, and new customer segments emerges based on the existing and new product ranges. You will be instrumental for the introduction and growth of a new product line and be the spider in the web, where you will interact with everybody in the organization as well as customers to ensure best possible outcome of the investments in existing and future development.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Define market requirements based on market research
- Interface with R&D to translate and prioritize market requirements into specific product requirements
- Provide input to the portfolio strategy, business, and marketing plans
- Establish, communicate, and implement product lifecycle plans and product road maps working closely with R&D and manufacturing
- In cooperation with marketing drive the development of messaging and positioning for the portfolio and create effective marketing collateral and sales tools
- Drive the development of scientific support materials in collaboration with R&D and Scientific Affairs
- Responsible for product budget, forecast, and sales follow up
- Support sales teams with market leads, insights, and competitive intelligence
- Ensure voice of the customer in product development projects
Structured approach with clear results
We are looking for a person with technical and scientific understanding combined with commercial acumen. We presume that you have 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager. If you have some understanding of biophysics, university research, drug discovery or similar then it would be an advantage. If you have a theoretical background with a master within biology/medicine/pharmaceutical science or related field, then that would be a plus. As a person you should be self-driven, results- and decision-oriented and like taking decisions. This means that you like to see the finish line and see the results of your work. You enjoy working in a team of very passionate people and you know how to interact with customers on all levels as well as the different departments in your organization.
Naturally you are very strong on both verbal and written communication and of course fluent in English as well as experienced in working and navigating in CRM systems, standard marketing tools etc.
