Become head of the Technical Support team in an Engineering department and set the direction and context for a highly skilled production equipment and utility engineers to be at their best, supporting the manufacturing of an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient essential in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
Syntese is looking for a strong people leader who understands how to drive a support function in a GMP regulated pharmaceutical industry. Operational excellence in technical support to API production
You will join the Engineering & EHS department, which is headed by Head of Engineering & EHS, Niklas Nielsen, who is also part of the senior leadership team. As Manager for Technical Support, you will be responsible for leading the Technical Support team, consisting of 10 passionate and skilled employees with various backgrounds and experiences. You will play a key role in manging your team and ensuring the technical support to the production.
As Manager for Technical Support at the production site you will play a key role in ensuring your team’s technical support to the production, including problem solving, designing, and specifying solutions as well as handling the change cases, qualifying equipment and changes, handling deviations, and ensuring strong collaboration with other departments across the organization.
As a manager, it is important that you provide the leadership context for your team to be able to perform at their best and ensure that necessary competencies, processes, systems, and tools are in place. Additionally, you will help set the direction for Syntese’s important work to further strengthen their quality management system and the identification and closure of compliance gaps, as well as the focus on continuous improvement toward more robust processes, equipment, and compliance.
Strong people manager with several years of leadership experience
To succeed in this role, you hold an academic degree in engineering or equivalent and have hands-on experience with GMP and technical support tasks in the pharmaceutical industry. You have several years of leadership experience and a track record of good leadership results, and you have led similar teams and/or employee profiles.
You have good coaching skills and can set direction for employees in your area. With your great collaboration skills, you develop and encourage employees with ease and take a structured and transparent approach. You are outgoing and have a distinctly can-do attitude as well as a strong quality-mindset with ability to build a quality culture. Due to your strong stakeholder management skills, you manoeuvre effortlessly at all organisational levels. Besides, you are fluent in English together with being clear and respectful in your communication.
