The Reefer Ocean Contract Product team is responsible for all contracted Reefer ocean business for Maersk Line and Hamburg Sud, and for reshaping the contracting landscape through innovation and industry-first products that will delight our customers. Our focus is to make a quantum leap in the type of products we offer, to create a better fit with customer needs, and to create a solid foundation for participating in more parts of the value chain with each customer.

Purpose of the role - Responsible for defining and delivering our commercial strategy for all contract Fruit & Vegetable customers globally. This includes managing the customer pipeline, and driving the right customer portfolio where best fit between customer aspiration and Maersk Integrator strategy overlaps while understanding customers growing and changing needs and what capabilities and offers are needed to delight the customer also in the future. All of this while drive strong and dedicated engagement across the Vertical team and stakeholders through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Vertical Strategy and Optimization (PnL) (Ocean and L&S)
  • Double Down (Budget) Planning and Execution
  • Ocean Tender Direction Setting incl. Go to Market strategy
  • Account Ownership (contracting/tender season & allocation)
  • Performance Management incl. Contract Fulfilment
  • Own Vertical Product Scale Up, Partnership and Need Gap Closure roadmap
  • Drive Vertical team Engagement
  • Act as Vertical escalation point
  • Distribute and Deploy workload within Vertical Team (maximize Regional insights and development opportunities)
  • Coach and Support Vertical team CPM Product Managers

Who we are looking for?

You have an obsession for the customer success deliveries delivered through strong Ocean or similar contracting background. You understand how to identify, articulate and build customer success stories for Product Development, with a proven track record of driving transformation and financial results.

Furthermore you:

  • Proven Commercial/Business Acumen and interest in problem solving
  • Collaboration – Developing strong cross-functional relationships and ability to influence and impact outside of own role
  • Strong Stakeholder Management that strives to deliver shared objectives and create company value
  • Works well with a truly committed, fun and engaged Team.
