As our Head of Compliance Training & Communication, you will lead a small team of training and communication specialists to ensure that all 100.000+ Maersk employees are aware of our standards of responsible business conduct. Your main focus areas will be our Code of Conduct and related Business Ethics policies on anti-corruption, competition law, data privacy and sanctions & export controls (“subject matter areas”).
As part of our Compliance Operations team, you will partner with stakeholders within the different subject matter areas, but also with experts in HR and IT to further define and implement a cross-functional compliance training strategy for Maersk and its subsidiaries. In addition to your experience in the dedicated fields of training and communication, you also have an understanding of and interest in the role of data and technology and how these can be leveraged to further advance a training and communication function.
Note that the role focuses on training management, strategy, and enabling subject matter experts in implementing their training programs – it does not, therefore, entail providing trainings yourself.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of highly driven training and communication specialists.
- Drive the development and implementation of training plans including annual targets, target groups and timelines.
- Maintain a risk-based, blended, multi-lingual curriculum that covers a mix of instructor-led training and e-learning modules.
- Partner with stakeholders within Compliance, other support functions, external partners and Maersk’s senior leadership to craft and drive strategy, and mobilize resources to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and content for implementation.
- Build an annual compliance awareness communication plan and ensure delivery accordingly.
- Develop and improve metrics for evaluating effectiveness of the programs and initiatives you lead and manage, with a focus on using that data for continuous improvement.
We are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in developing, delivering, and facilitating training in a complex corporate environment
- Experience in change management, project management
- People leadership skills and experience, particularly pertaining to training and communication functions
- Experience in effective training and communication strategies and techniques
- Understanding of how data and technology is relevant to the training and communication fields
- Highly collaborative personality with strong stakeholder management skills
- Interest in navigating complex environments, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree specializing in instructional design, adult education or communication strategies.
- Experience in Legal & Compliance
- Experience with leading e-learning development projects.
- Experience with learning management systems and related data strategy considerations
