Senior Technical Project Manager - Innovation

Location: CPH

The role of the Senior Technical Project Manager for Innovation

As a project manager you will be assigned to work with the Innovation team where you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally. The Innovation team’s purpose is enabling innovation and experimentation across our employees

If you are a project manager who thrives in driving a portfolio of innovation, managing events and delivering technical change your project leadership will result in exposure to a wide and challenging range of innovation initiatives within Maersk. Engagement with key stakeholders across all levels in Maersk will be key to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large scale physical and virtual innovation events, establishing the plan, defining milestones, engaging across teams to deliver leading to successful events.

  • Lead strategic planning for the innovation initiative portfolio and contributing to the success of each initiative through stakeholder management, clear milestones and established goals and objectives.

  • Drive measurable project performance gains correlated to execution velocity. Establish governance over prioritization decisions to ensure alignment with key performance indicators.



Key Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field (Innovation, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field), or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6-8 years of innovation and event programme management experience (ideally in technology functions).

  • Deep understanding of scrum and agile software development methodologies.

  • Experience with making and justifying decisions in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience in managing multi-team, multi-disciplinary, multi-country, and/or timezone projects.



  • Ability to use data to create impactful business cases/presentations.

  • Ability to lead cross-functionally and influence without authority across a diverse set of stakeholders (leadership, engineering teams, product owners, etc).

  • Ability to manage multiple requests, and work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate and deliver solutions in an always-changing environment, work through ambiguity, get detailed solutions, identify a path forward, and lead initiatives over the finish-line.



  • Excellent technical, analytical, cross-functional collaboration skills, and communication skills.
