Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) is seeking a multifaceted team member who will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Global Fashion Summit: the foremost leadership event for sustainability in fashion.

For this role, we are looking for a driven and strategic professional to help oversee and coordinate various tasks and workstreams across teams within the organisation. The individual must represent GFA both internally and externally, and have demonstrated programme co-ordination experience. They will moreover be responsible for supporting the successful production of the content programme at Global Fashion Summit, including liaising all the partner organisations and individuals who contribute to our global event.

As part of the GFA Content team, the right candidate will:

  • Support on coordinating content projects, partners and programmes related to Global Fashion Summit editions, to meet deliverables and deadlines with abundant self-motivation in a fast-paced role
  • Support on content tasks to assistant various team members within the organisation in meeting and reporting on timely commercial deliverables
  • Management of speaker production budgets for individual events with a focus on value for money and maximising contribution to the wider organisation
  • Represent GFA and be a respected collaborator within our broad network of stakeholders
  • Manage external stakeholder relationships with critical and strategically important sponsors, speakers, and attendees.
  • Work with the communications + marketing teams to support a robust and data-driven Summit ticket sales deliverable plan
  • Sponsorship: develop value propositions and assist with proposal development where required, attend sponsor meetings and work with sponsors to fulfill sponsorship content deliverables with attention
  • Analysing year-on-year performance reports and participate in event evaluation processes, identifying future trends or improvements
  • Sensitively navigate partners’ needs, while steering towards a common objective

You will report to the Head of Content and as Programme Coordinator, you will be part of the Content team.

About Global Fashion Summit

Global Fashion Summit is the leading international forum for sustainability in fashion and is presented by Global Fashion Agenda.

Convening major decision makers from across the world, the forum was first launched in 2009 as a COP15 side event and has become the nexus for agenda-setting discussions and presentations on the most critical environmental, social and ethical issues facing our industry and planet, all intended to spark urgent action and accelerate impact in the industry.

The Summit attracts primarily the C-Suite of fashion brands and retailers across the value chain. At the Summit participants are able to meet and interact with industry peers for networking and collaboration. During the different sessions, insights are shared from some of the industry’s foremost leaders, visionaries, researchers, politicians, environmentalists, global opinion makers, journalists and more and discussions led by knowledgable moderators.

At the Innovation Forum participants can experience some of the most cutting-edge sustainability solutions to drive their business forward. At the many side events, roundtables, tailored matchmaking meetings and social gatherings, participants can meet likeminded peers from across the globe and join the movement to act for fashion’s future.

The Global Fashion Summit has been spearheading the sustainability movement in fashion for the past decade by bringing together global industry leadership, change makers and thinkers to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable fashion industry.

The ideal candidate has:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in programme coordination
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data to shape ideas and support sales
  • A “Yes We Can” mentality, optimistic, independent and problem-solving attitude
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing) – additional languages are a plus
  • Passion for and understanding sustainability in the global fashion industry
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills to interact and engage with various stakeholders, while being diplomatic, energetic and convincing with great attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Business acumen with high integrity that positively inspires others
  • Interest in working in a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment
  • Experience of using virtual event/ticket platforms desirable but not essential
