As Head of TMS implementation you will be responsible for the overall TMS implementation activities within our organization, from aligning on priorities with your immediate manager to creating and executing the implementation timeline.

Additionally, you will be leading a team of 10-12 colleagues spread across several locations in DFDS that you will team up with to deliver on the ambitions.

Being able to build trust and commitment with your key stakeholders, while also leading the team in the right direction, are instrumental elements for you to succeed in this role.

More specifically, your main responsibilities include:

  • Planning and ensuring proper execution of the TMS implementation timeline across DFDS
  • Leading, and at times facilitating, the workshops needed to engage with the key stakeholders impacted by the TMS implementation across the organization
  • Identifying risks impacting the TMS implementation, while taking ownership of developing and executing mitigation plans
  • Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders in the relevant organizations impacted by the TMS implementation
  • Continuously strive to improve the approach taken to integrate new businesses into the TMS setup of DFDS utilizing a single platform
  • Acting as a modern leader towards your team and providing the needed guidance or sparring to achieve the objectives of the implementation
  • Encouraging personal development of your team and ensuring a proactive approach towards challenges

With this in mind, we imagine that you have a background as experienced Consultant or Project Manager used to working with big and complex projects involving many stakeholders across functional and technical areas.

We are looking for a strong problem solver that has a solid toolbox and is both driven and ambitions. While prior experience with TMS or logistics industry is not a hard requirement, we do expect that you are a curious individual, good at asking questions and challenging the status quo.

Moreover, the ideal candidate is structured, a very organized planner and able to manage own and project time according to critical priorities. We also weigh that you are a great communicator that has proven experience of interacting with senior stakeholders in an organization.

Additionally, we expect that you:

  • Have experience with agile projects or being part of cross-functional teams across multiple locations around the world
  • Have strong consulting and analytical skills
  • Have relevant experience in leading people and keeping a team motivated to achieve a strategic objective
  • Are an experienced workshop facilitator and are exceptionally good at asking the right questions
  • Have extensive and proven experience with Value Stream Mapping/BPM
  • Have proven experience with Hypothesis Based Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis
  • Have proven experience from running Continuous Improvement initiatives in a varied stakeholder environment
  • Are able to bridge the gap between different functional areas and the experience to show it
  • Are able to travel 20-30 days a year
  • Have experience with development tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
