Would you like to join our Regional Investment team and take on the role of Project Manager? In this position, you will oversee planning, on-site execution, and commissioning works. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from idea generation to handover to end users. Reporting directly to the Regional Investment Manager of the Nordic and Baltic Region, you will be an integral part of an hardworking and enthusiastic team – join our team and be our new colleague as Project Manager.
About the position
As Project Manager, you will be a valuable member of a team comprised of proficient colleagues with direct reference to the Regional Investment Manager of the Nordic and Baltic Region. You are, among other things, responsible for managing the communication among the involved project stakeholders and supporting the authorization process in cooperation with the Aalborg Portland functions when needed. In addition, you will carry out the following tasks:
Your profile
You are preferably educated within Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or similar) and have 8+ years of work experience from the construction industry or from industrial facilities related to heavy industrial fields such as steel, cement plants, oil & gas, or power plant. You are good at collaborating and have a good ability to create relationships and network across the organization. Being available and willing to travel is an integral aspect of the role. About the position
As Project Manager, you will be a valuable member of a team comprised of proficient colleagues with direct reference to the Regional Investment Manager of the Nordic and Baltic Region. You are, among other things, responsible for managing the communication among the involved project stakeholders and supporting the authorization process in cooperation with the Aalborg Portland functions when needed. In addition, you will carry out the following tasks:
- Collection of project ideas, required information, sort, and clarify the project concept
- Preparation and reviewing of basic/conceptual design works for project ideas, flow sheets, general budget requirements, feasibility studies and project time schedules to be presented in Business Cases to follow project approval stage,
- Basic regulation and permitting process information for preparing the required information for Environmental permit and Construction permitting phases together with dedicated work groups
- Scope definition, tender documentation, pricing and international contracts experience
- Be part of the project technical committee and informs all SteerCo/team members on the overall cost, schedule and project progress
- Cost controlling and forecasting and providing regular progress reporting,
- Lead to the assigned projects’ claim management
- Guarantee the full compliance with the Safety national rules, international and local standards and Aalborg Portland’s handover procedures
- Support the Authorization process together with internal resources and consultants in full cooperation with the Aalborg Portland functions when needed
Your profile
You are preferably educated within Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or similar) and have 8+ years of work experience from the construction industry or from industrial facilities related to heavy industrial fields such as steel, cement plants, oil & gas, or power plant. You are good at collaborating and have a good ability to create relationships and network across the organization. Being available and willing to travel is an integral aspect of the role. Further, we imagine that you:
- Have multi-disciplinary experience in industrial plant design and construction (process, civil, structural, mechanical and basic electrical)
- Have knowledge about basic process and alternative fuel systems used in Cement industry
- Are experienced in tendering and contract and contractor management
- Are skilled in Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Are capable to use design software to issue basic design solutions in case of need (preferably Autocad and/or Solid Works)
- Are capable to use planning software (preferably MS Project)
- Are fluent in English both in written and verbal
