About the department The Cell Bank Teams are anchored in Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) API Development under the Virology and Cell Banks department. In CMC API Development we manufacture and control new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk. The Cell Bank Teams are responsible for producing and maintaining all cell banks for clinical trials and marketed products under GMP requirements. We collaborate closely with the research unit as well as our quality assurance organization, regulatory affairs, and QC laboratories. The Cell Bank Teams are located on two sites, Bagsværd and Hillerød, Denmark. The rest of the department is split into two teams located in Gentofte and works within virology. This job will include tasks in both Hillerød and Bagsværd and may breach into the virology teams as well. The position As a scientist/engineer in the Virology and Cell Banks department, you will be responsible for equipment and project execution. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that the equipment is ready for production and complies with the pharmaceutical industry’s (GMP) requirements. This includes qualification/validation activities, service and maintenance tasks related to the cell bank productions. Additionally, you will: Drive projects concerning implementation and qualification of new GMP equipment in the production environment. This responsibility can be expanded to include equipment for laboratories (virology) Handle deviations, change requests related to existing equipment, as well as small or medium-sized validation and verification projects Interact with stakeholders in connection with technology projects Identify opportunities for improving processes and compliance in relation to equipment and facilities Be involved in audits and inspections as well as questions from the Health Authorities The equipment in scope ranges from simple to major production equipment and systems for monitoring temperature and pressure. The right candidate could also hold a role when we move our virology laboratories to Måløv within the next two years. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Holds a degree in Engineering, Technology, or relevant similar field Has proven experience in operation, maintenance, and qualification/validation of equipment in a GMP-regulated environment Can drive multiple projects with multiple stakeholders at the same time Has a strong quality mindset Has an analytical mindset and can create solutions (with respect for the cGMP requirements) when standards are challenged Is strong in writing documents of adequate quality and feels comfortable presenting our work to national and international inspectors On a personal level, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated, with excellent cooperation and communication skills, the ability to interact with colleagues at various organizational levels and are a strong team player.
