We are looking for a talented Biobank and Quality Assurance coordinator with a flair for computerized systems and databases to join Data Science & Bioinformatics within Global Research & Drug Discovery in Hørsholm.
In this position, you will manage our internal biobank operations, play a pivotal role in supporting research and drug discovery activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Your role involves overseeing the LIMS biobank sample system and biobank sample coordination, facilitating Quality and Compliance processes, as well as being part of our digitalization initiatives related to research and laboratory equipment data:

In this position, you will manage our internal biobank operations, play a pivotal role in supporting research and drug discovery activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
The position
Your role involves overseeing the LIMS biobank sample system and biobank sample coordination, facilitating Quality and Compliance processes, as well as being part of our digitalization initiatives related to research and laboratory equipment data:
- Biobank Sample Management:
- Receive and register samples for storage in our biobank.
- Maintaining sample records and facilitate distribution of samples to researchers in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage and track biosamples within the system.
- Administrate Labware LIMS Biosample System:
- Oversee the Biosample system, ensuring its efficient operation.
- Provide support and training to colleagues.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Actively participate in cross-functional meetings related to quality and compliance.
- Assist the quality processes within the area.
- Maintain an overview of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WINs), and lab equipment.
- Support digitalization initiatives:
- Support procedures and analysis flows related to instrument data.
- Be part of strengthening our digital data foundation.
- Be an advocate for data accessibility and be part of implementing a data strategy.
Your profile

Qualifications:
- Relevant education such as Bioanalytiker, or Laboratory Technician with practical experience in human sample handling and biobank management.
- A knowledge of legal, regulatory, and ethical aspects of handling human biosamples.
- A strong interest in applying quality assurance principles and adherence to compliance standards.
- Solid experience in utilizing software tools for data management.
- A keen interest in data handling, databases and potentially programming.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with equally strong ability to work independently.
