Your Responsibilities As a Senior Technician/Associate Scientist in the Department of Recombinant Drug Discovery, you will: Conduct high-throughput variant screens using yeast surface display and droplet-based microfluidics. Perform next-generation sequencing with Illumina MiSeq. Upscale hits by recombinant expression. Interpret experimental data and prepare findings for discussion with your team. Qualifications To excel in this role, we imagine you have: An educational background as laboratory technician with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical research or similar industrial research setting. Alternatively, you hold a master’s degree in biological science/biotechnology or equivalent. Hands-on molecular biology skills (e.g., cloning, PCR, yeast transformations). A solid experience with protein/peptide display technologies (yeast, phage, or mRNA based) Familiarity with flow cytometry or other single cell-based technologies. The motivation to expand your skill set and to adapt new technological advances within your field of expertise. Strong collaboration skills and a flexible approach to daily tasks. Good communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbally. The following competencies would be regarded as an advantage: Theoretical knowledge and practical skills with droplets microfluidics. Basic understanding of microbiology and experience in handling microbes. About the Department The Recombinant Drug Discovery department is mastering forefront technologies for early discovery and engineering of recombinant biologics and tool antibodies across the entire portfolio. The department currently counts 26 highly engaged scientists and technicians and is organized in two teams sharing office and lab space and dynamically working together across teams. The department belongs to the Recombinant Drug Research CVP area in Global Research Technologies and is situated outside Copenhagen in Måløv, Denmark.
