The job As Senior Director you will be leading a Medical & Science Clinical Pharmacology department in the OSCD project area which is part of Clinical Drug Development and your place of work will be in Søborg, Denmark (near Copenhagen). We have flexible working options which also includes the possibility of working from home e.g., 2 days a week. Travel activities are expected to constitute 4-6 travels annually of a few days each. You will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology trials and programmes and providing the clinical pharmacology strategy for early and late-stage development projects within Other Serious Chronic Diseases and Outcomes. We focus on new innovative technologies across pharmacological modalities such as RNA interference, small molecules, monoclonal antibodies, proteins, and peptides within therapeutic areas like cardiovascular and renal diseases as well as neurodegenerative disorders. You and your team will interact with Health Authorities and be responsible for clinical pharmacology summaries for the clinical pharmacology parts of a submission dossier and provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs. You will be scientific responsible for clinical pharmacology trial designs, protocols, oversight as well as interpretation and reporting of trial results. You will be driving and coordinating activities in the headquarter study group, collaborate with our affiliates and external partners involved in the management of our clinical trials, and interact with many internal and external global stakeholders. You will lead cross-functional project teams and represent Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams. Qualifications You have a M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a Ph.D. In addition, we will value the following qualifications: A strong scientific mindset combined experience with clinical drug development. Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology in drug development. Experience in planning and conducting clinical trials. Experience with health authority interactions. Experience in managing cross-functional teams in a global and dynamic environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high performing colleagues. Proficiency in both written and spoken English. On a personal level, you are a dedicated team player who inspires trust among colleagues and stakeholders. About the department The Clinical Pharmacology department is responsible for development projects within Other Serious Chronic Diseases and Outcomes. We are a department of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative, and cross-functional setting. Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology strategy. We are scientifically responsible for the planning and oversight of Clinical Pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide.
