The position As Medical Specialist, you will play a leading role in designing clinical trials, providing medical oversight during trial conduct, interpreting data including assessment of risk-benefit profiles of drugs, documenting results, and supporting regulatory submissions. You will give oral presentations internally and externally and co-author publications. Furthermore, you will be involved in a great variety of tasks supporting our portfolio of projects in close collaboration with many other skill areas such as trial management, biostatistics, global safety, and regulatory affairs. Our interactions extend to colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, healthcare professionals, and therapeutic experts. Hence, it is essential that you build and leverage both internal and external network(s) and actively contribute to the knowledge sharing with the project and department. Qualifications University degree as a Medical Doctor combined with some clinical practice Documented relevant research experience, preferable from a PhD. 1-3 years’ experience in clinical development from pharma or biotech industry is preferred High degree of independence, personal drive, and team spirit as many decisions have business impact Focus as well as flexibility are important qualifications as several tasks will be coming from different stakeholders and expectation management is key to success Proficiency in English as we work in a global environment Most importantly, you are a lifelong learner and welcome the opportunity to develop new skills and gain further experience within drug development. You are thriving in a fast-paced environment and are able to navigate uncertain and unpredictable scenarios. About the department Medical & Science, Diabetes is part of Clinical Drug Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. We are medically responsible for clinical development programmes and activities within our diabetes portfolio, including all development activities of our GLP-1 assets across the full span of the drug development cycle from the early research stage to already marketed products. Our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials (phases 1-4) and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, early research activities, presentations, and more.
