The position As Novo Nordisk is scaling and entering into new therapeutic areas and endeavours related to disease, diagnostics, device, data and digital solutions (5Ds), we are looking to build an internal drug development academy for colleagues in M&S within Clinical Drug Development. You will play a key role to bring this vision to reality. Together with another drug development experienced colleague in Scientific Excellence plus a training project manager, you will identify and address the organisational training needs and develop fit-for-purpose trainings for your M&S colleagues. In addition, ensure that we offer up-to-date competency development supported by modern technologies and digital possibilities to facilitate the best learning and development. Your main responsibilities: Be the overall driver of the M&S Drug Development Academy and align with M&S Directors, Senior Directors, and Vice Presidents Plan individual modules in the internal drug development academy. You will primarily focus on the scientific content where the training project manager will be the one coordinating the modules Collaborate with colleagues from Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Early Research, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Access, Health-economy, etc. to develop the modules Potentially engage with external vendors for some modules Investigate digital tools and how to leverage their potential to be supporting the M&A Drug Development Academy As a colleague in Scientific Excellence, you might also be involved in or drive other tasks or projects determined in a dialogue with you, based on your development wishes and needs from the department The place of work will be in Søborg, Denmark (near Copenhagen). We have flexible working options which also include the possibility of working from home e.g., 2 days a week. Qualifications To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have: A Master’s degree in medicine At least 2 years of relevant experience working with clinical drug development preferably in Medical & Science or a similar area Good business and R&D value chain understanding Proficiency in spoken and written English As a person, you are motivated to drive new initiatives in a complex and dynamic environment. You have a high degree of independence to set directions and deliver results in close collaboration with stakeholders. You can easily network and work seamlessly with people from other skill types and cultures. About the department M&S CoE is part of Clinical Drug Development in Novo Nordisk A/S. We aim to connect the M&S organization while driving scientifically sound medical deliverables across the Novo Nordisk project portfolio. We operate with a portfolio mindset supporting the Novo Nordisk overall strategy through cross-project initiatives and academic partnerships, to lead drug development to the benefit of people. Together with the projects, we ensure a high scientific standard and facilitate innovation in clinical trials. Moreover, the M&S CoE facilitates the onboarding and competency development for medical specialists and clinical pharmacology personnel across M&S. In our department, Scientific Excellence, we are a team of eight colleagues with diverse scientific and geographical backgrounds which we appreciate as it gives us good ground for discussion and feedback.
