We are offering a two year position as scientific assistant at the Department of Biology, Section for Cell Biology and Physiology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The position is financed by a Villum Experiment Grant entitled “Re-shaping gateways for selective recycling of valuable chemical compounds and for microbial cell factories”.

Job description
The Scientific Assistant will be engaged in re-shaping Aquaporin water channels to change their flux capacity on demand. This means we will start out with the chemical compound we wish to flux through a membrane and subsequently generate an Aquaporin variant that can perform this. The applicant must hold a master’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field job. Skills in molecular biology, protein science, recombinant membrane protein production, fermentation and purification of recombinant membrane proteins are advantageous.
Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
