SDU Software Engineering at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute, University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a fully-funded Postdoc position in Software Engineering in the area of cyber security for digital twins in open source infrastructures.

The research will be linked to the project ONE4ALL (Horizon Europe 2022), which aims to boost manufacturing plants’ transformation, especially SMEs, towards industry 5.0 (I5.0), reinforcing their resilience under unexpected changes in social needs. It is done through a human-and-sustainability-centred development of plug-and-produce reconfigurable cyber-physical production modules (RCPMs). Those will consist of self-reconfigurable mobile collaborative robots embedded with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices for real-time monitorisation and interconnectivity. Our part in this project is the digital replication of the physical modules and processes through data-driven digital twins and controlled by a self-learning AI-based distributed and multidisciplinary decision support system (DSS). The advertised Postdoctoral Researcher position focuses on cybersecurity for secure and open-source infrastructures.

SDU Software Engineering is a relatively new and growing section focusing on many aspects of software engineering and production from requirements to test as well as data and security across many domains. SDU Software Engineering collaborates intensely with industry, and it is expected that a large part of the research is in collaboration with companies across various domains. We are focusing on building a strong collaborative environment and we are currently expanding with many new positions.
