We are looking for an intern who will contribute with innovative mechanical development for our advanced audiological and balance equipment.
You will have the opportunity to work with complex mechanical designs and free space to add your personal touch as you bring them from design to production. You will be working in a large organization with many stakeholders, here you must be able to quickly show solutions to help decisions on their way. You can look forward to taking on the following tasks:
Are you fast at getting from idea to prototype?
We are looking for an intern who has a strong interest within the construction of plastic parts and using additive manufacturing to bring ideas to life.
In-house we have FDM 3D printers, and we collaborate with external partners when we want to produce parts using more advanced Additive Manufacturing technologies.
In short, your profile could be:
Mechanical intern role in the HW Mechanical team
1. Mechanical design, including:
a. Creation of requirements and specifications
b. Create and evaluate mechanical concepts
c. Mock-up and prototyping
d. CAD modelling
e. Robust design incl. GPS tolerances and tolerance chain
f. Test planning, execution and evaluation
g. Documentation of design and test results,
h. Design for Manufacturing, Assembly and Service
i. Manufacturing process and Material selection
j. Creating Bill of Material and estimate cost
k. Product integration with design/UX, Electronics, production, Service and Firmware input
l. Prepare and conduct reviews incl. team and cross functional reviews
m. Conduct and support of prototype builds
n. Approval and Hand-over to production
Project role:
Time: We are open to accommodate timing of education
Place: Interacoustics, Audiometer Alle 1, 5500 Middelfart
Salary: Salaried internship

- Specify and document mechanical components

- Experience in 3D printing and rapid prototyping
- Experience in robust design (tolerance analysis, DFM, DFA)
- Experience in CAD (Solidworks)

- Provide and demonstrate status on Mechanical tasks
- Highlight findings and share with other team members
- Estimate time for tasks with Project manager and project team
- Join project meetings, standups, demos
- Proactively high light potential problems in the product and Project
