At Hobbii we're looking for a dynamic and motivated Buyer, who would like to join our Product and Procurement team. Our team is responsible for running Product development and Procurement projects within our assortment (+9000 SKUs) of yarn and accessories for our global knitting and crocheting customers. 🧶
You'll be joining our P&P department currently consisting of 10+ talented and outgoing people. The team is a diverse bunch of people from different backgrounds (Product Development & Sourcing, Quality Specialist, Product Coordinator, Purchase Specialist and Planner) using each others' strengths to drive results.
You'll be the key point of contact for either our European or our Far East suppliers and manage all daily operations related to the sourcing, buying and production processes while making sure to plan and schedule that all PO’s arrives in an accurate and timely manner in our warehouse in Greve! You will work closely with our Head planner and the rest of our dedicated P&P team and have stakeholders across functions with main focus on logistics and warehouse to ensure a smooth order flow. You'll also be responsible for price negotiations, creating and transmitting PO’s to your suppliers as well as securing compliance and collecting certificates and documents in a timely manner.
To succeed in this job, you will need to thrive at juggling priorities and navigating in the field of supplier relationships. With a systematic approach to your work and the ability to process data from multiple sources you're the one to take us to that next step.

Your main responsibilities will be:
- Ownership of the daily operations of your own suppliers
- Work closely with the rest of the P&P team
- Sourcing, buying and production operations
- Pricing and contract negotiations while securing compliance
- Place sample orders, confirm shipping marks and drive the production process
- Update masterdata in our buying system Odoo
- Traveling to our different global suppliers
We imagine you are/have:
- 3-5 years of solid buying experience - preferably experience working within the textile industry
- Can-do attitude/executer mindset
- Fluent in English - both oral and written
- Structured and focus on the details
- Open-minded and always curious to figure out smarter ways of working
- Ambitious and results-oriented
Although not a must, we'd also love it if you:
- Have experience working in the yarn or Textile industry
- Know how to knit or crochet
- Show willingness to learn and keen on developing yourself
- Great at both giving and receiving feedback
