The position As our Associate Director, Diabetes Policy and Partnerships you will develop, drive, and implement multi-stakeholder partnerships to raise the standards and quality of care for people living with diabetes. You will be responsible for engaging relevant stakeholders to drive political awareness of diabetes and developing impactful policy materials to motivate affiliates to build local partnerships. Key responsibilities include: Building long-term collaborative partnerships and meaningful engagement with relevant groups and advocates at a global and national level Proactively assessing and analysing trends and shifts in the political and healthcare environment to support the global public affairs strategy in diabetes Representing Novo Nordisk in relevant international fora and multi-stakeholder initiatives Cocreating impactful advocacy initiatives, joint positions, policy briefs and evidence, bringing together different partners Developing materials and resources to motivate affiliates to build local partnerships and drive awareness of the need for improvements in diabetes care Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Global Public Affairs colleagues responsible for patient relations and with colleagues across different functions and regions where relevant. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: A degree in political science, international business or a related field 7+ years of relevant work experience in public affairs and patient advocacy within the pharmaceutical industry, or in consultancy or patient organisations or NGOs A proven track record of engagement with health-interested stakeholders (including academic partners, professional societies and patient organisations) Experience in designing and forming partnerships with a range of stakeholders An analytical mindset and strong project management skills Strong command of written and spoken English It is an advantage to have: Experience in diabetes or chronic diseases As an individual, you are energetic, proactive and a strong team player. You like to challenge the status quo as you pursue opportunities and create tangible solutions to complex problems. You have exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and experience of working in a matrix organisation. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills. About the department Global Public Affairs and Patient Relations (GPAPR) is part of the Global Public Affairs and Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We aspire to be a proactive and solutions-orientated partner to patients and policymakers in the joint ambition of raising the standards of care in our therapy areas, to help solve society’s fundamental challenges. The role is anchored in the Diabetes Policy Team, driving the development and execution of the public affairs strategy for Novo Nordisk in Type 1 and 2 diabetes.
