The Position As our new Patient Relations Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with patient advocacy groups to underpin our public affairs strategy for Novo Nordisk’s expanding portfolio into serious chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease. Key responsibilities include: Build long-term, collaborative partnerships and engage meaningfully with relevant patient groups and advocates at global and national level. Co-create patient advocacy initiatives and platforms to raise the level and quality of care for patients. Represent Novo Nordisk in relevant international fora where engagement with patient advocacy groups is critical. Organise and implement patient advisory boards to ensure that Novo Nordisk’s policy activities are in line with patient perspectives and expectations. Develop materials and resources to support key affiliates in engaging with local patient advocacy groups. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with patient advocacy groups in these areas at regional and global/international level. You will need to collaborate closely with Global Public Affairs colleagues responsible for policy and partnerships, and with colleagues across functions and regions, where relevant. Qualifications Master’s degree in political science, international business, or a related field Relevant work experience in patient organisations, NGOs, industry or consultancy. Good communication and presentation skills as well as strong command of both written and spoken English If you have not worked within a patient advocacy group directly, you do possess experience with and proven track record of engagement with patient advocacy groups. As a person you are a strong team player, energetic, and like to challenge the status quo as you pursue opportunities and create tangible solutions for complex problems. You have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, and ideally have experience working in a matrix organisation. You possess an analytical mindset and have a proven track record in project management. About the Department Global Public Affairs & Patient Relations (GPAPR) is part of the Global Public Affairs & Sustainability area in Novo Nordisk. We aspire to be a proactive and solutions-oriented partner to patients and policymakers in the joint ambition to raise the standards of care in our therapy areas and help solve society’s fundamental challenges. The role is anchored in the Serious Chronic Disease Policy Team that is driving the development and execution of the public affairs strategy for Novo Nordisk’s expanding portfolio to cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and NASH.
