Global Brand Lead – Icodec, the world’s first once-weekly insulin

This is a once in a life-time career opportunity to lead, develop and drive the global brand campaign and frontline communication platform for Novo Nordisk A/S next generation insulin innovation Icodec. Currently, Phase III clinical programmes are being finalised and the global commercial team is getting ready to build the exciting launch strategy of this unique brand.

The position

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and drive the next strong launch brand for Novo Nordisk and help prepare a world-class launch of Icodec.

In collaboration with your colleagues in global, regional and affiliate offices, you will:

  • Lead the development and co-creation of the Icodec brand with innovative commercial campaigns
  • Drive a very strong and simple message platform and promotional story based on clinical phase III results
  • Act as the bridge between Global and Operations and work in close collaboration with top 10 global markets
  • Drive both strategic and tactical plans and execution as Icodec brand lead

Qualifications

We expect you to have an academic degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Medicine, or another relevant field. You also hold at least 5-8 years of experience from working in either affiliate marketing teams, global or regional pharmaceutical roles. It’s a strong advantage if you have experience from similar work at either local or regional level. You have good understanding of how to build and communicate a global brand that can be executed strongly in operations.

To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

  • Ability to develop global campaigns and strong key messaging platforms
  • Analytical skills to interpret clinical data and turn it into promotional benefits
  • Proven track of leading and driving large global advertising agencies
  • Solid experience with shaping and delivering strategic go to market plans preferably for a launch brand and anchoring brand work directly into positioning platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to drive complex decision making in a matrix organisation
  • Experience with tactical brand management would be a strong qualifier for this role

About the department

The Icodec & Insulin portfolio team is responsible for developing and commercialising the insulin products in development. The team sets global strategic direction for the brands through a co-creation approach with both global, regional and affiliate stakeholders.

The job is located in Denmark, within Novo Nordisk’s Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs Organisation as part of Diabetes Therapy Area Unit. You will work in a newly established Unit focusing on Icodec & in-market Insulin Portfolio and you will be joining a team of energetic and driven marketing and strategy professionals engaged in leading innovative commercial strategies and launches across the global organisation.
