Patient Insights Lead Would you like to be part of the building making Novo Nordisk more patient-centric and drive user-Insights for digital therapeutics- and patient support solutions ( DTx and PSS) to Improve care in chronic disease? Are you genuinely passionate about implementing patient perspectives into the business decision making – and do you have experience doing so? Then this position is for you. The position In Digital Health we are looking for a patient/user insight lead for to drive the patient centricity agenda in diabetes and usability research in digital solutions across therapy areas. We are looking for a person with skills within the social scientific fields, such as Anthropology, Sociology, Behavioural Psychology, techno anthropology etc. In this position you will play a vital role in expanding our patient insights within diabetes and provide insights in the development of our internally built digital health solutions within therapy areas such as Obesity, Diabetes, Growth disorders, etc. Your most important task will be to take patient/user research and transform it into tangible insights for the commercial organisation and the digital development teams to act on. Your primary tasks will be:
  • Conduction of patient and user experience research
  • Coordination, planning, and completion of field work, including ethnographic interviews, observations and other in-depth interviews with patients, caregivers, and specialists
  • Co-creation facilitation
  • Analysis and reporting/presenting of research findings
  • Collaboration with and communication to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the for the UX’ers, designers, and product owners to implement the findings into the solution development
  • Qualifications: There are many ways of becoming a patient/user ambassador and no specific education is needed for this position. However, most candidates would likely have an educational background in the social scientific fields, such as Anthropology, Sociology, Behavioural Psychology, techno anthropology or similar. However, the skills from those educations can also come from relevant job experience. Communication with internal stakeholders is critically important for business success as the projects and activities in the department must be defined and guided by a close collaboration with many stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you can:
  • Contribute to adequate and timely information to stakeholders on developments and decisions
  • Build professional and social relationships across the organisation to the benefit of the work being performed in the teams
  • The work is expected to be performed with a high degree of independence and will have high degree of business impact. Also, a high degree of adaptability is expected in this role to maximise the outcome of the conducted research. Additionally, 15-25 travel days are expected within this role. The department Digital Health is part of the Commercial Strategy and Corporate Affairs area, and we ensure that patients are provided with the best possible benefits from Novo Nordisk products by addressing unmet patient needs through Digital Health solutions. In Digital Health, we drive and anchor the global Digital Health strategy, as well as our commercial partnership strategy. We own and shape the commercial development of Digital Health solutions, both internally and through partners, based on connected insulin injection pens, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) / Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) devices and other wearables. We define go-to-market strategies for such solutions and the real-world data strategy for data collected through digital health solutions and generally function as the centre of excellence globally for Digital Health.
