Automation Engineer (MES Syncade/PAS-X) – CDMO Compagny north of Copenhagen
Our client is a global leading pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) providing the development and manufacturing of biologics, vaccines, and advanced therapies with a global network.
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with a detailed knowledge on MES systems (Syncade or PAS-X) from a pharmaceutical environment. Knowledge about DCS systems (DeltaV), Historians (PI) and reporting tools (InfoBatch and Crystal reports) is a requirement.
About the Team
Reporting to the MES Manager, you will be part of a team of 7 MES enthusiasts. The MES team is embedded in the Automation department which counts more that 30 skilled automation colleagues. The Automation department is part of Process Technology.
Work location is in Hillerød and with the possibility of working from the office in Copenhagen or from home 1-2 days a week.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Develop, implement, and support small and large projects to support the vision of paperless manufacturing with full ERP/MES/DCS integration and enforced workflows.
- Understand the business processes that MES supports, and ensure that manufacturing processes and their support functions are the primarily driver for company solutions.
- Support daily manufacturing.
- Working according to defined procedures and ensuring a validated state for automation systems.
Professional qualifications:
- Min. 5 years of experience with MES (Syncade or PAS-X preferred) and integration to DCS and ERP.
- Programming skills (Preferably VB Scripts, XML/XPATH/XSLT and SQL/TSQL).
- Knowledge and experience with GMP
- Programming and Database skills
- General IT knowledge about Servers and Network
- Process and Operational knowledge
Personal qualifications:
- Ability to hold the role of technical lead.
- Good communication skills.
- Collaborative attitude with the willingness to work with global peers toward company and department goals.
- Ability to organize personal tasks and to work under short deadlines within manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
To be successful, you will need a systematic and analytical approach and the ability to maintain the general view when working on several projects simultaneously and deliver your tasks in due time.
