The position

At a time where we bring in thousands of new colleagues every month, it’s more important than ever to set them up for success, make them feel welcome and properly introduce them to the Novo Nordisk Way, our heritage, value chain, as well as current and future business priorities. This role will play a key role in ensuring exactly this.

As Global Onboarding Lead, you will during the first year be focussed on improving and implementing our recently developed app based preboarding solution at global scale, as well as further developing and rolling out our existing global onboarding journey. Towards the end of 2023, we need your innovative mindset and onboarding expertise even more, in order to bring our global onboarding experience to the next level.

Some of your main responsibilities include to:

  • Improve and scale up our innovative, app-based preboarding solution to the benefit of employees globally and across the business. This includes ensuring integration with our global processes and systems, in order to reach an automated and future proof global solution.
  • Enhance and update our virtual, global onboarding solution, leveraging an abundance of existing materials and videos, as well as developing new ones.
  • Define, roll out and safeguard a global framework for onboarding which drives a consistent experience and ensures a holistic, inclusive and impactful introduction to Novo Nordisk as an enterprise.
  • Support and advice colleagues in local affiliates in their efforts to develop and deliver great local onboarding experiences, acting as the global subject matter expert.
  • Work with a combination of content, processes and technology, and engage with colleagues across cultures and at all levels of the organisation.

The job is based in Bagsværd (Denmark) but might require limited travel in connection with specific projects.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, we expect you to:

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably within communications, psychology, technology or any relevant field
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with high impact projects in a global and complex context, ideally dealing with aspects related to both concept development, global processes and technology
  • Be experienced within the field of designing and developing onboarding solutions, having focused on the learning and experience parts of onboarding
  • Have a proven track record of strong stakeholder management skills and creating followership in a matrixed and multicultural organisation.

As a person, you enjoy working both independently as well as in a team and you are driven by solving complex challenges. While it’s important that you have a strategic mindset, you are also not afraid to be hands-on when needed. You know what it takes to create results and create followership and you can deal with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

About the department

You will join the Global Employer Branding & Onboarding Centre of Excellence team consisting of experienced, dedicated, and passionate employees from a range of professional backgrounds (HR, Communication, Business Development, Marketing & Natural Sciences). We use our differences to create and develop innovative approaches and high-quality solutions to attract the best talents to Novo Nordisk and onboard them in an inclusive and engaging manner globally.

Serving as a Centre of Excellence (CoE), we are subject matter experts, and our main objective is to position Novo Nordisk as a preferred employer and thus, help business areas across Novo Nordisk globally to find, attract and successfully onboard new talents.

To achieve this, we experience a growing need for creating more compelling communication and approaches that truly sets Novo Nordisk apart. We work together with the business, our colleagues within HR and Talent Acquisition as well as external vendors to deliver best-in-class employer branding and onboarding solutions.
