To mature and scale our software development practice, we need multiple Site Reliability Engineers. Do you want to bring your technical background and skills into this role? Then apply! What’s in the role As our new Site Reliability Engineer, you will be working 50% of the time building our SRE tools / platform and 50% of the time working directly with our development teams on an engineering approach to operations. This balance should help you succeed in increasing our software reliability and freeing up developer time to focus on adding business value. In your new role, you will get to work with a variety of different projects, and, among other things, be responsible for:
  • Running production systems in collaboration with the development teams
  • Building and enhancing our platform so it empowers our development teams best possible
  • Developing and implementing software development metrics + KPIs
  • Automating to reduce toil and manual processes by creating tools, scripts, pipelines, and other technologies
  • Leading by example, has hands-on in engaging with software development teams, and consults on maturing their operational stance
  • Safeguarding that the infrastructure, services, and solutions we offer, are secure, compliant, reliable, available and provide the best possible value to Novo Nordisk
    • You will get to work in an agile setting, where you will collaborate with your assigned development team(s), the other SREs and our advisory team. What we are looking for To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have most of the followings:
  • Passion about software development, DevOps and willingness to use your knowledge to build, scale and optimise software development processes and teams
  • Proficient programming skills in one or more languages, preferably .NET, Python, Java, and Go.
  • Experience with automation (preferably with IT infrastructure) and operations (On-prem, Hybrid, or Cloud)
  • Knowledge in Agile methodologies, tools and familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Preferably you have worked with one or more of the following technologies: Kubernetes (K8s), Cloud providers (Azure, AWS), Git and CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub), Observability, Full stack, Governance, Risk Management, Compliance (GRC), Security and Tests
  • Relevant job experience from a global enterprise is an advantage
