The position Your responsibilities in this role as Customs and Export Controls Advisor are: • To help drive customs and export controls related tasks, including being responsible for sanction list screenings, process development, customs documentation, audits, and improvement initiatives.
• Assist Novo Nordisk in the digitalization journey, ensuring the success of our tax technology strategy on customs including being involved in our journey towards SAP S/4 HANA.
• Have strong collaboration with local colleagues as well as with colleagues in our affiliates and have a keen eye for ways to standardise and automate. As Novo Nordisk is expanding so does the complexity of our business and you, along with other colleagues, will assist and advise line of business both in Denmark and globally on customs and export control matters. Qualifications You have completed a relevant master’s degree and/or can demonstrate solid experience from a similar position. Furthermore, to be successful in this role, you have: • Experience with customs and export controls requirements, gained through positions in either the private or public sector.
• In depth knowledge on customs and trade regulations e.g. HS-codes and Free Trade Agreements.
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills and well-founded documentation practices incl. strong data handling and excel competencies.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English and Danish. As a person you are known for your integrity and strong interpersonal skills enabling you to create trust with your stakeholders. We expect you to have a high level of drive, strong sense of responsibility, proactiveness and ensure compliance, timely delivery, and high quality, being able to handle complexity and know how to make things simple and understandable to people at all levels in the organisation. About the department In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are 19 dedicated employees working in teams within transfer pricing, tax reporting and controversy and indirect taxes. You will be part of the Indirect Tax Team which handles VAT, customs duties, and excise duties, and will report to the Director of the team.
Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation consisting of around 70 employees worldwide.
