What is behind the title?
As our new People Leader, you will contribute to the great working culture and engaging people development of Novo Nordisk. The position as People Leader will lead the 6 dedicated Data Scientists and Engineers who are all working day-to-day in two agile teams. Leading our employees by coaching and developing their competencies according to the long-term strategic competence needs of the area, is the main focus. You are responsible for ensuring high team engagement, set directions and clearly communicate current and future priorities.
You will also partner closely with the leader from the People Analytics area to ensure that we establish and drive a strong collaboration to this newly established area in People & Organization (P&O).

In the role as People Leader in an agile context, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building personal and professional competencies as well as reward and performance management
  • People career development and motivation including coaching and mentoring
  • Facilitate cross-organizational knowledge sharing
  • Employee budgeting and support transformation initiatives
  • Close collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master around the agile teams
  • Recruitment and onboarding of employees and external consultants

  • Furthermore, you will contribute to the strategic direction of Insight & Data Engineering as well as drive improvement initiatives. You will facilitate, mobilize, and involve the right stakeholders at the right level and engage with Line of Business where needed.

    What are we looking for?
    To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • An academic background in a relevant field e.g., Business, IT, Engineering or Computer Science
  • 3+ years of leadership experience from a similar role
  • Experience in navigating into large organizations
  • Advanced knowledge and coaching skills
  • Experience supporting a transformation through personal advocacy, engagement, and leadership
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

    HRDD&IT is an area with 100+ employees distributed across 4 countries, managing the digital solutions and infrastructure used by P&O along with our employees across the world. Besides, HRDD&IT is a global and agile organization, therefore many of our meetings are conducted virtually and across many time zones.
    Insights & Data Engineering is a team of 6 highly skilled and dedicated employees working to develop and maintain BI solutions and build the data infrastructure of the future. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, just as we are embracing innovative ideas on how to successfully introduce new ways of working and high employee engagement. We collaborate closely with our partner team in P&O, People Analytics, and together we are working to bring insights, trends, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization through strong data solutions.
