The position As a project manager in Global Record to Report (R2R) Process Excellence Team, you will, together with the team, have a focus on simplifying and optimising our financial processes on behalf of the Global Process Owner. Your key area of responsibility will be: Leading initiatives and contributing to bigger projects in collaboration with the team and other department, and being involved in improving the accounting processes in Novo Nordisk Delving into the details of the underlying processes to understand how they are executed globally, while keeping in mind the strategy's strategic direction and overall ambition Performing ongoing assessments, enabling you to identify opportunities for simplification, and optimisation Driving and engaging in specific cross-functional projects, with your project management mindset The position requires collaboration and interaction with a multitude of stakeholders including but not limited to colleagues in Global Business Services in India, local and regional accounting and finance employees, Corporate Tax, Group Internal Audit, Product Supply, and IT. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you ideally have: Bachelor’s degree and preferably a master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, and have 2-5 years of experience working with optimization of financial processes Experience working for a major audit firm or financial function of a large international company Project management experience Communication skills and ability to establish trust with key partners Experience with SAP Finance and Controlling is an advantage You are curious, with a trustworthy and engaging personality and can work independently, juggling a few projects and to collaborate effectively with project teams and other key stakeholders. About the department As our new Project Manager, you will be part of the Record to Report (R2R) Process Excellence department. The department is part of Corporate Accounting within Finance, Legal & Global Solutions. The global R2R process is one of the key financial processes in Novo Nordisk. R2R covers the process from recording transactions in SAP, to closing and consolidating financial data necessary for external and internal reporting. Our primary responsibilities are to ensure execution of the global R2R strategy and to continuously improve global R2R processes in accordance with our 2025 strategic aspirations. The team is based in Bagsværd, Denmark, however it has a global reach through projects that impact global finance processes and regular interactions with line of business, IT and the wider finance organisation.
