The Position As Senior Mechanical Engineer in Device Development you will join our FlexTouch Development team. We are the technical point-of-contact in regard to FlexTouch, and we apply our technical mechanical skills, CAD expertise, thorough laboratory investigations and creativity to find the answers to any inquiry our stakeholder have. Your role will be to prepare and maintain mechanical design output documents for our devices, primarily for marketed combination products, but also to support design transfers from development to maintenance. You will be expected to take ownership for the technical product functionality, use your engineering curiosity, technical experience, your data driven mind and your ‘hands-on’ flair to support our customers by finding answers. You will be working at an international level and have a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including production sites globally, R&D and Quality Assurance. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a master’s degree or equivalent within relevant mechanical engineering disciplines.
  • Be very skilled with 2D and 3D modelling programs.
  • Be professionally proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, GMP and design control disciplines are considered advantages. Additionally, your positive can-do attitude makes you a valued advisor and colleague, and you perform well both in a team and individually. You are flexible as the tasks are varied, and the priority of projects and tasks may change. About the department The position is in Device Development which is part of Novo Nordisk Device & Manufacturing Development (DMD). Device Development holds the design responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s medical devices and delivery systems and links Device R&D and production. Our main responsibilities are maintaining marketed products and developing new variants of existing product platforms; thus, we have direct impact on Novo Nordisk’s ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements from authorities. You will join the FlexTouch Development team and be working alongside colleagues with various educations and work experience, all with a high level of engineering expertise.
