Our ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend software development, using Django/Flask and AWS cloud technologies. As a backend developer, you will be responsible for maintaining the internal-use web platform, optimizing performance, designing RESTful web services and APIs, and further developing and maintaining our ETL pipelines for platform data. Your main tasks will also include:
• Collaborate on code in a team and independently in an agile setting
• Develop and improve API endpoints in collaboration with our frontend developers
• Optimizing backend and database performance
• Develop and improve our DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Create manual and automatic testing in frameworks like pytest
• Collaborate with our stakeholders and help develop new features You will join our newly established Data & Twin Tech team, working with software developers, engineers, and project managers. The team develops data analytics platforms and digital twins for the rest of the organization, offering you the chance to collaborate with professionals across the value chain, including IT-system managers, chemists, and data scientists, to enhance our production processes. Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with experience in most of the following topics:
Primary skills and experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an academic university (or HD1+HD2) within Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematical Modelling, or related field
• 2 years of work experience in full-time employment or relevant student jobs
• Proficien in building software applications using Django / Flask
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and API design
• DevOps and CI/CD experience for efficient and automated deployment and testing
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Knowledge of databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Understanding of caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcached
• Full professional proficiency in English

As a person, you are structured and experienced in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code, as well as refactoring code. We expect an entrepreneurial mindset involving scoping problems/opportunities, stakeholder management, and evaluating output with line of business.

What other companies call Manufacturing Science & Analytical Technology (MSAT) we call Manufacturing Development.
