The Position As Senior Mechanical Engineer in Device Development, you will be working closely with a team of Product Responsible and Mechanical Engineers. Working as part of a team of mechanical engineers you will use your mechanical skills to conduct technical investigations and creatively offer solutions to a wide range of customers. You will also take responsibility for the mechanical design of the components and functionality for our marketed combination products. As Senior Mechanical Engineer in Device Development you will:
  • Prepare and maintain mechanical design output documents for our devices
  • Be involved in design transfers from development to maintenance
  • Use CAD programs, calculations, laboratories investigations and sparring with colleagues to answer the questions about our devices.
    • Your work has high impact on the device products that reach the patients, and you will be working at an international level having a broad range of contacts including production sites globally, R&D and Quality Assurance. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Hold a master’s degree or equivalent within relevant mechanical engineering disciplines
  • Be very skilled with 2D and 3D modelling programs
  • Have a previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
    • It would be considered as a plus if you have a good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and design control. As a person you are structured, systematic, good at keeping overviews and get things done. You are the go-to person with a can-do attitude, performing well in a team but also enjoying independent work. You are flexible as the tasks are varied, and the priority of projects and tasks may change. About the department The position is in Device Development which is part of Novo Nordisk Device & Manufacturing Development (DMD). Device Development holds the design responsibility for Novo Nordisk’s medical devices and delivery systems and is the link between Device R&D and production. In Device Development, the main task is to maintain marketed products as well as develop new variants of existing product platforms. Our deliverables have direct impact on our ability to deliver to the market, on patient safety, and on compliance with the requirements of the authorities. You will join the FlexTouch Development team and be working alongside colleagues with various educations and work experience. They have a high engineering expertise level and are very engaged and thoughtful about the end users of our products.
