The position As a Senior Project Controller, you will be responsible for collaborating in the project cost control function within the Program Management Office. This role will involve working closely with project managers, engineering partners and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and that cost control processes and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle. You will report directly to the Head of Project Controls (one area inside the Program Management Office) Key responsibilities:
  • Contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of project cost control systems, procedures, and tools.
  • Collaborate with cost controlling teams across multiple sites, including Denmark, US, China, France, Brazil, and other European locations.
  • Contribute to the development of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate Resource Management activities, including monitoring against estimated budgets and collaborating with other PMO disciplines to achieve key milestones.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project cost reports and data, oversee the development of project budgets and cost estimates, provide guidance and support to project teams on cost control issues, and build a broad network in Novo Nordisk with regular contact across various business areas to govern project solutions.
    • Qualifications To be successful in this role, you need a master’s degree in engineering, Business or other relevant area and have at have proven experience in similar position that involved cost estimation, controlling or cost engineering from large CAPEX projects. Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred. Effective communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English are required. Additionally, it is desirable that you have:
  • Strong knowledge of cost control processes and procedures.
  • Experience in autonomously performing project cost control tasks during execution phases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software, including ACONEX, Oracle Primavera Cloud, SAP, SAP BW, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certified Cost Professional (AACEI) or similar qualification is an advantage.
