A day could look like this; You start the day by following up on emails from both master data stewards and factories. You give a call to one of the factories to align on some assumptions and understand the technical justification behind the data given to you. You don’t need to be a scientific expert in production, but at least be able to understand the business rationale behind data for sanity checking. With the updated assumptions you prepare a few analyses before presenting them in a meeting in the afternoon to your working group. You will be a single point of contact between the production areas and the supply chain team. The master data signed off by you will provide the baseline for all computations and scenario planning for Supply chain partners. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Owning the operational master data management such as master data creation in the relevant systems or synchronization of SAP and OMP master data. Collaborate with production, finance, purchasing, logistics, and sales & operations to ensure timely update of critical master data for optimal business planning Ensuring high data quality in the data-carrying systems and continuous optimization of data quality. Supporting to build of the data backbone of the company to ensure future growth. Cover all Master Data Governance capabilities across all Supply chains, inclusive of Manufacturing sites to ensure End-to-End harmonization of Master Data Capabilities. Understand industry trends and solutions. Benchmark processes, practices, and quality. Lead the master data network across production sites and set direction for master data strategy across API business area. Can take initiatives and defend them efficiently so that they can be implemented
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have master’s in data science, Supply chain, Finance, Business management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in master’s data management, preferably in the pharma industry. It would be an advantage to have experience with large organizations with multiple stakeholders. To thrive in this job, it will be important that you always try to understand the occurring problems and offer comprehensive global and holistic solutions. You understand demand, supply, distribution, and replenishment planning and have good knowledge of relational databases and data quality You have a strong logical, structured, and analytical approach to problems and derive business actions from data You have experience in stakeholder management in large organizations and you are motivated by establishing something new, where there will be many learnings Experience in tools like SAP or OMP is a must for success in this role And you master both written and spoken English Since we are looking for a couple of colleagues at different levels, we will be able to tailor the job to your level of experience. In Novo Nordisk, PS API (Product Supply - Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) play an essential role - and the road to success is clear: We want to be the best manufacturer of diabetes API and deliver high-quality products with regulatory compliance and competitive costs – that is our contribution to the business. Product Supply API produces insulin and GLP1 for the treatment of diabetes and obesity. In campaigns, we also manufacture intermediates and APIs for the R&D unit. The production starts with a fermentation process where gene-modified yeast cells are fermented, followed by a recovery process and finally a purification process. Furthermore, Diabetes API produces Glucagon through the recovery step and then sends it on to Biopharm. PS API is large-scale manufacturing that delivers goods to PS IFP (Product Supply Injectable Finished Products). There are approximately 2,000 employees across PS API. The vast majority work in Kalundborg and some in Bagsværd.
