Do you have the knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, and are able to develop monitoring tools and analyse data to recommend improvements? Then you have a great opportunity to become our next Senior Process Scientist in Kalundborg. The Position As a Senior Process Scientist we hope you enjoy analysing and making sense of data, developing our fermentation, and maintaining process monitoring systems. You have experience from working in the industry with focus on or interest in fermentation, data analysis and process systems. The main tasks will be to:
  • Analyse a large amount of data to extract correlations and causations for process understanding

  • Continuously improve the process, and it’s supporting systems, in terms of productivity and simplicity

  • Use a data-based approach for quantifying deviations

  • Use a team-based approach for recommending process optimizations.

    • The job gives you a great opportunity to play an important part in shaping the future of bioprocessing across the organization, in close collaboration with manufacturing in Novo Nordisk. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have:
  • A Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical or Biotechnology Engineering, or similar

  • Knowledge of fermentation, preferably experience with large-scale production

  • Thrilled by solving challenging problems

  • Willingness to take the lead in tasks and problem-solving, and share your knowledge and experience with colleagues

  • Proficiency in Danish and English.

    • You have knowledge of scientific principles for manufacturing pharmaceutical API and are able to analyse data and extract information. You are a fantastic communicator that can express complex information to a varied audience and explain the purpose to get everyone onboard. You enjoy applying a systematic approach to manage complexity and reach feasible applicable solutions. About the Department You will be part of a team of 15 highly dedicated process engineers and scientists. We value good collaboration with our colleagues and stakeholders and keep a good team spirit which is essential to have an inspiring working environment. We work daily with production and optimization of the processes with the aim of successfully supporting more patients around the world. Therefore, advanced data analysis, process monitoring, dialogue with key stakeholders and recommendations for optimizations are crucial. You will be assigned to the world’s largest insulin factory - Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1), located in Kalundborg, the API Manufacturing Hub for Diabetes care at Novo Nordisk. As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all Insulin-based products. The API Manufacturing Hub is home to 4 Facilities and approximately 3000 employees so, network wise, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact and build relationships with diverse and skilled colleagues.
