As part of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians (marine engineers) and craftsmen. • leading by example and introducing new approaches and technologies that drive more effective results
• contributing to the management team in a way that maintains a strong collaborative spirit and drives the effectiveness necessary to deliver on our mutual ambitions Your initial focus will be on setting a clear direction for Life Cycle Management of utilities, projects, and structures, ensuring system availability and compliance in every aspect of day-to-day maintenance. As you progress, you will strengthen our collaborative setup for maintenance, leveraging modern options for knowledge sharing, method development, and process modeling. To achieve this, you will need to work closely with other teams and departments while ensuring that daily operations are never compromised. Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
• A degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, marine, or electrical. Candidates with no academic education but longer experience will also be considered.
• Experience in managing plans, people, and processes.
• Experience in a regulated production environment is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, as we work in an international business environment. As a person, you have a mind for structure – you are good at organizing tasks and plans, your analysing skills are methodical, and your strategies are based on data and knowledge. You utilize your credibility and your communication skills well when building trustful relations across departments and backgrounds. You are always working to improve your own skill set, and you are great at developing the potential of other people. About the Department
API Manufacturing 1 (M1) is the worlds’ largest insulin production facility. Here we produce the active ingredient of many of ’ products, that may change the market completely. In M1 Maintenance we ensure maintenance of equipment, technical support, development projects, facility management of our building and secure a safe work environment through our work permit office. Furthermore, our department owns a team responsible for the delivery of utilities such as HVAC, cooling, steam and compressed air, referred to as Black Utility. Here, talented equipment responsible and craftsmen operate, trouble trace, optimize and expand, to keep up with an increasing demand. For this team, we are looking for the right manager that can help bring the team and its utilities to the next level.
We have 50 years of expertise in biotechnological production at in Kalundborg. Generations of employees have developed their professional qualifications, personal skills and careers at and have helped develop the production facility to become the largest insulin-producing facility in the world. Today, our 3,000 employees produce half of the world’s insulin and a number of biopharmaceutical products.
