As a Closed Loop Robotics Expert at our expanding department, you will help us pioneer new laboratory automation platforms to create the medicines of the future.
Key responsibilities: Scouting novel use cases of closed loop robotic systems within our organization. Operate our existing machines, constantly learning from and improving them. Working on building, developing, and testing autonomous robots to perform experiments without human intervention, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that help us continuously improve our existing machines. To succeed in this role, you should have: A M.Sc. or Ph.D. in natural sciences and a proven track record of success in laboratory process automation and/or optimizing algorithms. Minimum 3 years of experience in laboratory process automation. Knowing how to code is a plus. Strong knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), Bayesian Optimization or general use of digital tools in laboratories. Experience in operating and improving existing closed loop robotic systems. Ability to scout for novel use cases of closed loop robotic systems within an organization. As a person, you have a hands-on attitude and sales mindset. Extroverted personality and a people-oriented team player, who excels in an environment with a high degree of empowerment. You can work independently and engage with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. About the department
You'll be joining our Digital Science & Innovation team, which supports the digital journey across all our therapy areas in Research & Early Development (R&ED). We work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with all areas across R&ED to leverage scientific knowledge, partner with our IT organization to ensure access to the most advanced technology platforms and tools and engage in drug development projects across the value chain.
