Maersk is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our Operational Excellence and Innovation team within the Asset Management Department. The scope of the team covers products and processes for all of Maersk’s physical assets globally.
The Senior PM is responsible for developing and driving the asset digitization strategy for all our physical assets with an aim to optimize TCO, increase uptime, and increase overall asset visibility. To do this, you will work with our delivery, product and engineering teams to identify challenges, define/test solutions, and support rollout at scale. You will also work cross functionally to develop the business cases for the digitization needs with a clear articulation of value, followed by monitoring/managing performance of deployed solutions to ensure value realization for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with leadership to understand the overall strategy, operational processes, and broader business context. Use that insight to identify needs and develop/drive the asset digitization strategy for all our physical assets globally.
- Design, test, evaluate & monitor Key Performance Indicators for the solutions that are easy to understand, decision oriented, and provide the appropriate level of drill down.
- Collaborate with innovation, platform, and industrial automation teams to ensure the data sourced can be integrated into our digital platforms and that the data is of high quality, granularity, and accuracy.
- Project manage and support the deployment of the solution through our global network.
- Define and own our facilities master data to ensure it is the single source of truth for our assets/inventory & their key attributes and further enhances operational processes, business analytics and overall asset cost management.
- Develop clear business cases and share ideas, issues, and recommendations in presentation/written form to gain agreement from stakeholders at different levels and with different backgrounds.
We are looking for
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Necessary to perform the requirements of the position:
- Education: Master’s degree/MBA in business, operations, logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in product and/or program management.
- Experience in developing and overseeing roadmap strategy from scratch.
- Highly data driven, excel proficiency, basic knowledge of SQL and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct operational initiatives and comfortable managing ambiguity.
- Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships and work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment with a track record of managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of warehouse/transportation assets (MHE, sorters, trucks etc.) and experience with relevant automation/digital systems is a plus.
