Business Resilience for us is integrating Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management into an effective response platform, with close alignment to Disaster Recovery and Supply Chain Security.

We offer

Reporting to the Head of Global Security & Business Resilience the Global Head of Business Resilience (BR) Implementation is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing a Business Resilience Program for APMM in close coordination with key stakeholders across the business.

You will drive Business Resilience through close collaboration with Regional Senior Business Resilience Managers placed within the regions and Subject Matter Experts in the Business Resilience Center of Excellence at Center.

Key responsibilities

  • Close collaboration with the global team of Business Resilience professionals and regional business leaders deployed in the Regions fostering a professional culture and customer centric approach embracing our values within the team

  • Maintain and develop the Business Resilience framework in close collaboration with the Subject Matter Experts at Center

  • Ensure efficient knowledge sharing and learnings from business operations into the Business Resilience framework

  • Ensure aligned implementation of the Business Resilience framework across the regions

  • Establish leading and lagging indicators and provide performance insights via dashboards helping mitigate risks and driving improvement opportunities

  • Actively support the wider Business Resilience community ensuring Business Resilience resources in Regional, Area and Terminal engage as one team and in support of business objectives thereby being an enabling and not restrictive body.

  • Support and help develop the assurance program in accordance with Commit rule standards and framework

  • Responsible for adherence to Annual Wheel activities based on the Commit rule standard(s) within the business areas

  • Actively engage with business leaders to understand the frontline activities and disruption impact, educate them on their responsibilities and support them in strengthening Business Resilience for our business and customers

  • Perform all other tasks and/or projects as assigned by line manager or department head


Were looking for

The role will lead the implementation of Business Resilience within Maersk and APMT and ensure all entities in scope are fully integrated with the Business Resilience Commit Rule and framework. Effective engagement with business leadership engagement is pivotal for success in this role as all implementations must be fit for purpose with the business and customers in mind.

Customer centricity is vital to this role as well as the ability to articulate the value of Business Resilience towards customers, business, and regional leadership. That means we’re looking for someone who is well-articulated and used to present or pitch towards C-suit level executives.

You should have a university degree in business continuity, risk, crisis, supply chain, operations or similar. Work experience in these fields is valuable but most importantly is a proven track record of having progressed through managerial levels from junior to senior / executive roles in private business or public administration. We believe that your profile most likely has 10-15 years’ experience to be successful in this role.

As we are a people driven, we need you to be able to establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders and gatekeepers globally by having them trust in your ability to deliver and help keep calm and collected during sometimes stressful times. This requires that you can communicate in English at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
