Join us in making a meaningful difference! The position Novo Nordisk is actively acquiring external assets to enhance its product portfolio. Many of these acquired products come with an externalized supply chain. To facilitate this process, we are introducing the role as Senior Acquisition Partner in Sourcing, who works closely with internal teams to recommend and execute acquisitions as well as securing sourcing knowledge sitting with acquired asset is leveraged during integration for maximizing the value for Novo Nordisk. Your key tasks include: Serving as the sourcing representative in Due Diligence, assessing assets, recommending potential integration, evaluating commercial aspect for potential acquired asset Directly managing the initial integration from a sourcing perspective until the asset is handed over to normal operation up to +12 months Communicating progress regularly to senior management and collaborating in functional teams for due diligence and risk identification, developing mitigation plans Securing initial contracts for commercial production and ensuring alignment with Supply Chain and category strategies Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, finance, sourcing, supply chain, business development (Deal teams) and R&D development teams, for cohesive integration Ensuring consistent management of acquisitions and creating transparency through standardized tools You will be working in a global organization; hence you should expect up to 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine you: Hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, etc. Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a comparable M&A role within pharmaceutical, life science, or other GMP-regulated industries coupled with a solid commercial background within outsourcing Showcase a proven track record in end-to-end M&A, from analytical to practical implementation and transformation Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including the ability to lead, interact with diverse cultures and organizations, negotiate, and resolve conflicts Display fluency in both spoken and written English It would be considered an advantage if you hold a professional certification in project management or similar. About the department Strategic Sourcing (StSo) is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for medium- and long-term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites.
