The position To effectively accommodate our expanding and diverse portfolio, we are increasingly leveraging the services of Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), resulting in a growing network of CMOs and interaction across categories, commercial, and development phase, creating a need for enhanced management and collaboration. As Senior Alliance Manager, you play a pivotal role in ensuring Novo Nordisk’s long-term success by overseeing these relationships and securing a strong alliance, ultimately maximizing the value derived from our strategic partners and optimizing strategic partnerships. Some of your key responsibilities include: Managing alliance relationships, defining alliance vision and goals, overseeing communication, decision making, and monitoring traction and deliverables Partnering closely with key leaders and decision-makers at the strategic partners organization as well as internal stakeholders in manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, business development, and R&D to leverage opportunities from external alliances Taking a hands-on approach to support alliance activities, leading deliverables to enhance collaboration, and facilitating decision-making while mitigating risks related to goals and financials Driving governance of partnerships, including fora and communication channels Communicating financial and change control deviations, ensuring consistent management and transparency through standardized tools You will be working in a global organization; hence you should expect up to 20 days of travel activities per year. This position holds ample opportunities for personal and professional development and will quickly establish you as the go-to person within your area. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we imagine you: Possess a MBA or equivalent in fields such as Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering etc. Bring a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a comparable role within the pharmaceutical, life science, or other GMP-regulated industries Demonstrate a deep understanding of the CMO market and the importance of effectively managing external supply chains, e.g. a previous category manager or a CMO negotiator role Showcase strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, engage with diverse cultures and organizations, negotiate, and adeptly resolve conflicts Display proficiency in both spoken and written English It would be considered an advantage if you hold a professional certification in project management or similar. About the department Strategic Sourcing (StSo) is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for medium- and long-term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites. By becoming part of our team, you immerse yourself in a thorough yet fast-paced and ambitious environment, where we collaborate closely with stakeholders, inside and outside StSo. The Alliance, Acquisition, and Product Portfolio team is a newly established team to cater for the expansion and growth of Novo Nordisk. With the office in the Product Supply HQ in Bagsværd. Note that in 2025 HQ for Product Supply will move to Tåstrup.
